Looking for comfortable sleepers: nothing like good pads

Hello there,

I have a 2009 RRD Poison Contest, which I absolutely totally adore (and every day more when i compare it with other boards), but as the main drawback i would say that the pads/straps are quite bad, and for sure not comfortable at all.

By trying a RSC supreme this summer, I realized what a huge gap of comfort there was between my pads and those pads (also on the down side I think it is kind of too easy to loose the board with the RSC pads/straps, as nothing retain your feet from escaping).

For the kiters who got to play with different sets of pads/straps: What are the most comfortable pads/straps on the market that works with standards inserts and that would sustain the feet real good?

Thank you very much in advance,
y.

LOL, that's funny, I have a RRD Bliss and wanted to post the exact same question. The board is great but both the pads and the straps suck.

The pads on the Shinn boards are amazingly comfortable, deep memory foam, . That is the pad you stand on so to speak.. Think other boards have them too. If you can find the company that makes them? The new 2013 straps (sneaker x?) are good, better than 2012 as the foam comes further down.

I had similar problem with F-one straps. While searched for good replacement tried quite many stuff. My conclusion - most of pads have +/- the same comfort level but for me the real minus is plastic locks since on longer sessions they make really unpleasant pressure on my foots. It excluded many otherwise good pads. From the ones I tried i liked the most North, Naish Apex and Aboards Anatomic footpads. They all have really soft straps system. Aboards and North have very good grip as well.

I like Nobile IFS pro pads/straps - easy to get a comfortable and secure fit and the impact absorbtion is very good. The Naish Apex bindings are apparently very good too though I have not tried them myself yet.

the worst pads I have tried are slingshot Bolt-ons. They are not easy to adjust and feel hard on landings. They are otherwise pretty good though - once you get the fit right.

Naish apex, you get what you pay for....can set all four parts of your foot, two back, two front. Unreal pads. Not cheap.

+1 :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: for the Shinn pads. Comfy as can be.

I found the shinn sneakerX pads crap.

I swapped them out for some North Entity's.....they are awesome pads!
