[quote="Frankie"]I found the shinn sneakerX pads crap.

Agreed, well i dont think they ate crap, they are fine, but i never got on with them at all.

The Naish apex are in a class of their own, especially compared to the shinn pads.

Thank you very much for the advices.

I m glad to see that I am not the only one with this existential doubt down there.

I ve read a couple of times that North entity would not adapt always well with other standard kiteboard, or at least it could force you to use a weird setting.

Pity because they were much cheaper than the Apex from Naish.

As for Nobile pads, I just came back from Paros (greece), which was used as Nobile test center, and the general consensus there was that their pads are so hard that it is as if there was no pad at all. The good thing is that you can feel the board very well!

I swapped them out for some North Entity's.....they are awesome pads!
Awesome ! Well they would be if they fitted. they are made for tracks, tried to fit some to a non North board and they were a very poor fit, very little adjustment, unless you you like your feet pointing opposed.

They have good adjustment towards the edges and good duck adjustment but only one stance width so you have to be sure you are happy with that.

Naish apex, oh I have said that. Seriously look no further. Fits any board with as much angle as you want. I am still dialing in the adjustments after 5 rides and they are getting better after each adjustment. Total custom fit.

My conclusion - most of pads have +/- the same comfort level but for me the real minus is plastic locks since on longer sessions they make really unpleasant pressure on my foots. It excluded many otherwise good pads. From the ones I tried i liked the most North, Naish Apex and Aboards Anatomic footpads. They all have really soft straps system. Aboards and North have very good grip as well.
Agree about Aboards. Anatomic definitely are one of the comfiest systems I have used. :thumb:

Litewave makes very comfy pads. When I got mine I put them together and walked around the house. You could almost use them as house shoes, lol! Well made and easy to adjust, too.
