regarding the bar: 2014 bar is compatible with all previous Cabrinha models. Cabrinha says not to use the previous IDS bars with the 2014 models; 2014 is single front line flagging system while 2009-2013 are both front lines off the IDS line

For those of you who own the 2014 12m Switchblade, would you say an experienced kiteboarder weighing 84kg could ride a 12m with a large "door-style" twin tip in about 9/10 knots? The reason for asking is it helps determine whether the 14m is the choice for those 10knot summer days or whether one could get by with a 12m? Perhaps the difference is a smaller TT could be ridden with the larger kite... a door TT with the 12m. Correct? I heard the 2014s have that better low end meaning a 12m might be more like a 13m.

I would say no - I weigh 82kg and I would say that 12knots is my absolute minimum windspeed (on my 12m 2014 SB) if I want to stay upwind, even on a large board.
