Snowboard recommendation - wide enough for size 11. ????

Postby laz » Mon Sep 30, 2013 2:03 am

Looking for a new snowkite board. I like very lively and flexy boards. Problem is I have size 11 boots and am afraid that my heel will drag while edging with the kite so need a wider than standard board?

Thinking my heels will drag snowkiting with this? 250 mm http://www.martiniskateandsnow.com/prod ... &PID=13831

Any recommendations of models that work good with the kite and will be fun and lively in the terrain park too?

Thanks

I wear boot size 12, and have had great success with the wide Libtech boards.

I've snowboarded for 25 years, snow kited for 9. I have the same size boots as you and can tell you that if you have an average duck stance of about 12 degrees you will need a board with a width of 25.5 cm or greater (255 mm). For most boards you will have to get the wider version of the board, although it does vary depending on what type of board it is.

Cool thanks for the replies.

Just got a killer deal on a Ride crush wide 153 and bought it.
