Are there any significant differences aside the 2014 being a little lighter?

Hmm
More tail rocker. I think they skinned it out a bit. Took off two fin boxes. The weight loss is significant. If you put the board side by side I think you'd see it.

2015...but might not be out for a while. From their site:
NEW Refined Rail Flow = Increased response in bottom turns + easy edging
NEW Increased Tail Kick in Rocker = Tight & snappy turns off the lip
NEW Thinned Out & Squared Off Rails in Tail = Superior control & grip when carving at speed

2013 vs 2014: beside the changes, do they ride similar? In the thruster set up.

The 2015 line up looks great. Nice, that they added a small 5.2 again. I want that in my quiver for blasting around, jumping, carving.

I think the newer ones feels like they more drive. I was just out on the 6'2'' last Friday. First strapped session in ages...had decently sized waves. That board just shoots out of the bottom turn like a rocket. I have not spent enough time on them side by side to really say how much the difference is. I think it is nice it is lighter...but I did like the 5 fin option. That said, the thruster set up for that board is classic.

The added tail rocker feels like it throws more spray off the top with less effort.

By going to the thruster from the 5 fin setup they lost a bit of area in the tail so it doesn't seem like it planes up quite as easily as the 2013 and you have to stomp the tail a bit harder to get it to pivot.

Having said that I ride mine as a quad and my friends 2014 is, obviously, a thruster. Both are 5'10". So I don't really know how much of the difference is attributable to fin setup.

Thanks for all your feedback. I asked as I rode my 2013 really only last weeks on vacation on Lanzarote. Left it unused the whole winter as I was riding only TT to work a bit on my jumping again. Up to autumn last year I rode the 2012 5.5 and the 5.7 (2010) before that.
When I rode the 2013 in a straigth line through real heavy chop I just thought this is much different (both as thruster and quad). Looser, less controlled, more bouncy than my previous boards.
Comparing the shapes the rails especially in the tail are lot thicker. As Naish communicated slimming down rails in 2014 and 2015 I was just interested if the are significant changes in how they ride.

However I am putting this down now to an evolved shape in general, which is looser and better on the wave (which it is), more tail rocker.
And to extreme ugly chop and the need for myself to adapt and to do more surfboard riding again.

Well I have the 2013 global and I would say it is one of the least bouncy boards I've ridden and why I got it. Nice and heavy, tracks real well. Works best without a back strap, and even better without straps at all. It also gave me that control as deep down I'm a Super powered TT rider, but I have always dabbled in SBs mainly for shits and giggles and when the waves are really on.
