That is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I am guessing you have never paddled surfed. There are plenty of guys killing it on their backside. Backside off the tops, backside airs, and cutbacks definitely do not look geeky. You can get a lot of power going back side to front side. Yeah always hated watching guys like Kelly Slater killing it at pipeline, it just looked so geeky. .Looks geeky, feels bad, and not possible to transfer the same power, nor do aerials as good/tweaked
That's how i feel when occasionally trying to ride switch!Looks geeky, feels bad, and not possible to transfer the same power, nor do aerials as good/tweaked
Supertubos, Peniche, Portugal on N which translates to side off, perfect breaks - see ripcurl comp videos to see what I mean. that's a right hand break side off on N with perfect delays on the breaks, and not SW which is the other direction that works. now is a good time of the year for it also. good luck.rowboat wrote:A lot of the legendary kite/wave spots like Fiji, Peru, One-Eye are lefts. For regular-footers that often means getting blown off the shoulder and/or having to ride backside...
Where your favorite right-hand surf breaks for kiting?
I can think of:
San Carlos
Cabo Verde
Brazil has a lot of little rights...
where else?
