if u at launch chew it. saliva is excellent lubricant shouldn't take more than 5 minutes with the teeth. if at home pound it gently with a hammer. remember a knot reduces strength by 50% in kite line. You must undo the knot do it even if you are worried you might hurt the line, because nothing is worse than a knot.

The hammer trick!! This one does the job really easy. Just give it a few gentle touches while rotating the knot, it will come loose.

yep, chew it. (or soak it in water and squish it one side then the other with hammer if your at home)

generally takes 3-6 minutes max to chew it loose.

I use pliers with no teeth for this. Pinch, release, twist, pinch, release, twist, ..........

There are three techniques you use in combination to get a knot out. You do them in the order listed below.

1. Compression. You compress the knot and the fibres to loosen the loops. You can tap it gently with a hammer, squeeze it with your teeth, or squash it gently with some pliers.

2. Lubrication. Moisten it with water or saliva or soap so the fibres will slide past each other.

3. Working the loops. Mostly push but sometimes pull the loops to open the knot.

When the knots are tight do not under any circumstances:

- try to grab the loops and pull with pliers. The pliers will slip off the line, and tear the line, and pinch your fingers in the process.

- push a nail through the loops. The nail will go through the fibres and tear the line.

If the loops are loose then you can do whatever you want, but it should be easy by then.

Let it soak in a cup or bucket of water for a while. Then with finger nails just work away at it. Soak some more if needed. Helps.

lubricate the knot with either saliva or washing liquid

on a flat surface gently tap with a hammer a few times as you turn it around. Check on the knot to see if it has been loosened, if it hasnt repeat the process
