The image is really clear and i'm pleased with it. The contrast of the colours really pop! Ive only tested the 1080p quality.

You have to wipe the lens often tho as little spots can really distort the image on the curved lens. This was easy when I mounted it on my helmet. Ill be posting a link to a video soon once i figure out how to edit it!

Ive added a video link in the first post to youtube. Watch in 1080p.

Its shaky from a shoulder mount but gets the point across until i have time to add more.

Been using the Virb for a while.
After the FW upgrade things got a lot better.
I think that overall it kicks the Gopro's ass-
no fogging so far, connectivity to ANT+, connections and parts are well designed, longer battery life etc.

The Gopro does have 4K and an insane pixel count but 1080P is enough for my use.

Should NEVER fog, as it's not in a separate case!

Unless you're in the business of futzing around in post to make sure the color and white balance is right, the GoPro just looks like someone pissed on all the whites. With a lot of pixels. When you can see the whites, through all the fog...

We all want our cameras to never ever fog but in reality they don't make them in a 0% humidity environment.
Again, the Virb never fogged on me.

Garmin Virb Elite and Twintip hydrofoil test video.
quality is actually much much better, have to reduce resolution due to file size limit by Vimeo.
Watch out Gopro, better catch up.

Hello, some questions about the action camera for kitesurfing.

No fogging is the key but...
Stabilizer virb vs gopro: looks better on gopro video? firmaware update needed?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJugFOnRJQQ

line mount, Is it compatible?
3rd person view, which choose to kitesurfing?

Sound: too much wind noise on virB?

How to attach leash?is it included in the box?

Other great accessories that could be used with universal eladaptador are: fins mount, head strap/helmet an shoulder mount. what do you think?

Can you post your video links for kitesurfing?
Thanks in advance

There is no comparison, it is a no brainer. I have sold my Gopro3.
You can compare my 24 videos of Gopro and Garmin Virb Elite.

Here is a short test vid on my SUP.
Used the regular black Virb.
The Virb comes with a Gopro mount adapter so basicaly any gopro mount will fit but the Gopro mounts are crap compared to the Garmin mounts.
