IN-ee or OUT-ee.

Big valves should be low profile, not sticking way up.

The valve can be recessed into the bladder,
where it is protected.

Look at this picture of some river raft valves from AIRE.com

the Core Speed Valve 2 is an IN-ee. No adaptor needed for the valve or pump hose too. No threads on the cap, the cap attaches the same way as the pump hose. They centered the valve at the center strut on the LE.


The Speed Valve1 is like the OUT-ee version of the Speed Valve 2. Similar to the Airlock 2. Except, no adaptor to pump and no threads for the cap.

The Boston Valve with the Airlock2 adaptor looks massive. :o
