Why would bigger valves let sand into the bladder;s , well they might if you dont watch what you are doing , and as for taking air out whilst doing self rescue's it aint a problem the pro's for big valves far outweigh the negatives.

My pump felt odd the other day - opened it up... OMG all the sand in there! Doesn't matter what valve is on the kite, that's going somewhere

a problem now is, that it is a problem to find the right nozzle for the different valves!

not to hijack but has anyone thought about flushing out sand in their bladder in an older kite? I'm guessing it accumulates in the leading edge tips - maybe you could inspect and slice open the heat seal / remove sand / re seal?

Seing as price doesn´t seem to be a large issue for Dimitri M (Epic kites) what do you base this on?
What would the cost of buying the rights to use a patented item be? (Dimitri feel free to answer as well)

Megabear if I found the perfect "BIG INFLATION VALVE" for the EPIC kites I will eat the price differences and the retail price won't change at all. But I just want to make sure I have the perfect Big Inflation Valve that works and won't create me problems in the long run. So maybe I should try this with the production run for the INFINITY V3, SCREAMER 14 and RENEGADE 13 LTD.

do some intense testing before you do a whole production...I hear about some problems here and there...

He already did....Boston Valves leak if you get fine sand in the rubber seal or if you don't tighten the cap enough when you close it up.
The plastic leash for the cap breaks and then you have to make sure you don't lose the screw on cap.
If you are careful they are fine, if not...not so much.

Hello guys,
Once again thank you for all the inputs you have been providing about the BIG INFLATION VALVE. The pictures you see bellow are from the last of my prototypes I just got few days ago with some of your inputs.
Now my questions to you are:
-Do you like to have a Neoprene cover on top of the Big Valve so it protects it?
-And would you like to have the Nozzle of the pump attached to the Valve and hidden inside the neoprene cover or keep it attached to the pump?
-Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Damage has occurred to an ozone kite I know when the guy forgot to put the neoprene cover on, so yes.

Keep the nozzle on the pump end.
