2013 Switchblades with 2012 bar?

Hi All

Does anyone know if the 2013 switchblades will fly with the 2012 Cab bar?

yes perfectly, the only improvements for 2013 are a bit sturdier lines, and knots instead of swivel at the Y

2009, 10,11,12,13 kites and bars are inter changeable

It will work perfectly.

all cabrinha IDS bars from 2009-2013 have the same line plan.

You could also use it on a non-cab SLE bar too with Y or V main lines work. Cab actually went to a V mainline config for 2014 but they have offered a PRO kit to convert previous years bars to a V mainline config for many years since it speeds up turning speed and adds a little bottom end range too at the expense of a little less pop.

I can confirm this as I put a 9m 2012 Switchblade on a switchkites bar once and it flew different but it worked fine. Some might argue it flew better on the switchkites bar, just depends on what you want I guess.

FI - the 2014 bar works like a bomb for the 2013, more power and turns super fast.....not sure about previous models, but sure it will turn faster. The outside lines are a lot thinner than previous years and the lower v obviously has major benefit. Have used the 2013 bar on 2012 and 2011 and no difference except easy unwinding of lines and better 2nd release.
