I'm interested in purchasing a Blade Uni Bar. Can someone tell me the difference between the 1st generation bar (white/Blue 2013) and the 2nd generation bar (black /yellow 2014)?
What do people like and dislike about the Blade Uni bars?
Thanks, Jason

I think the white/blues was only a prototype. I got one of the first 2013 shipment and the bar was black and yellow.
My only negative comment so far : the grip is soft and can be damaged easily if you walk on it. But the feeling is perfect when riding. So just pay attention when you rig your kite.
This is a great bar, go for it, you won't be disapointed.

As far I've seen they have made nice improovments on the 14 bar. Good to see a company listening to riders and making the gear better.
1. they added bungee security line to prevent line tangle while depowered.
2. they have changed the plastics (depower cleat and "bar hole insert") so they don't look like cheap chineese plastic "chrome like" painting that will chipp off with the use. It looks like stainless steel now.
3. Line swingle is way better now, I've never seen one like this one. Bearings work great now.
4. They finally added a stopper. The bar won't hit depower cleat any more. I'd suggest to turn it around, so the depower line won't touch the velcro strap on the depower cleat and run on the other side of the cleat.
I'd also add some line Pu tubes from under the floaters and for half a meter o to prevent lines tangle on the bar if the kite crashes.
I'd add some Pu protectors for the lines where the lines come out of the bar.
The overall feeling and the quality of the bar is good. Great price too and the extensible lines length is a bonus too.
