Always sorry to hear about someone getting killed. Although if he was a drug dealer and this is a drug related dispute then my sympathy is a bit less to be honest. I would agree that alot of drugs should be legal and that would solve many of the related problems. If he was just selling dope to tourists and someone felt he was moving in on their territory then it is sad. If he was a full blown dealer then maybe he should have thought a bit more about how it was likely to end, especially in a country like Brazil.

I can't understand why relate drugs and kitesurf.
I don't see that being B-side kind of activity.

I understand when somebody comes from Europe or US where there are rules for so many things and all of a sudden is in a calm place unleashed of surveillance, the one can get tempted.

I believe you shall allow drugs under law only if you as user accept to let go of public services like health and related. I don't have to pay for your outcome. Besides it should be used in given places to avoid driving etc. Enough problems with alcohol (indeed we kill a Vietnam war per year in transit).

it takes the focus away from character judgments being made from 1000's of miles away, to the truth of the sad death of a young man.
