Some may have heard about the horrible murder of Lestiano from Lagoa do Cauipe in Cumbuco..


Im going to blame every one here so if you like to live a lie don´t read this.

Some of us.. you me them every one. Likes to smoke a joint now and then and other like the harder stuff. Who am I to judge what you put in you body.

Since Brazil will not legalize marijuna and the demand is huge. Criminals take advantage of this.

Before WE!!!!! came to cumbuco and brought our wonderful sport of kitesurfing to what now is one of the best places in the world to ride! there was no kite and little market for drugs. Now as we the outsiders come there ride enjoy their home. Are welcomed as guests and treated and kings. I for one have always been treated very good and felt very safe there. Lestiano was always our local guide and his dedication and love for the sport and to teach us more about the local spot and kiting was one of the best things about visiting Cumbuco and Cauipe. But as it grew into a more popular place more and more people came and offcourse a market for drugs in introduced to a humble village. Some bad people take advantages of this and the end result is what we had this weekend. The death of our friend Lestiano.

All of cumbuco is in shock and today the locals closed the streets. There are kites infront of the funeral and every one is very sad for what has happend.

I am all for the legalization of Pot and believe every one is entiteled to put what they want int their bodies but not when some one has to pay with their life for it.

You want to help make cumbuco better. Dont help feed the criminals there. Say no to Drugs try tot educate people to legalize or to acept that its funding the criminals and more people will suffer.


All in All. rest in peace my friend Lestiano. I was proud of you for wearing my Brand and for riding a Epic kite! You always helped never complained and I wish you life did not end this way!

Any one in cumbuco there will be a huge downwinder in his honor. I hope you all respect him and his friends and come join in as respect for him the sport and also as a protest to Criminals who get away with what they do.

I am greatly saddened to hear about the death of your friend, a kiteboarder. I'd kindly ask that you please do not assume that everybody consumes recreational drugs, it's not factual.

I heard on facebook that the kid was found dead near some lagoon,he was shot eight times.
Real sad history.

Unfortunately the legalisation of cannabis would mean the politicians of the world doing a u-turn and admitting they were wrong.... that's never going to happen!

I am sorry to hear about the death of a fellow kiter. I think there is a language barrier with fr3style and I also think he was posting out of great emotion. I didn't get the feeling that he feels everybody who kites does recreational drugs and that all of us are part of the problem down there. I think it's more he's trying to say that if we go down there to vacation or live to please not buy drugs. Say no to drugs and enjoy the town.

If we buy or do drugs down there it keeps the thugs in business. It creates a "seedy" element.

I think he's trying to say kite and stay legal. Have a beer...

Since you made it public, please make sure that public knows who he was and what he did.

And everyone makes their choices what they do and what not. Never blame anyone else.

Normally Karma means: you do good, you will get good. You do bad, you get bad.

And lets hope this won't happen again...here everyone can do their part...

I've no idea what exactly lies behind this sad event but I did meet Lestiano this time last year and he was pretty friendly to us.

IN NO WAY do I assume that!! I admit i have smoked pot in my life. And I feel a shame that I did pay for it knowing it was comming from ileagal ways great shame and in no way do i say every one does this please every one dont think that im just saying what need to be said. I am one of the bad guys who has paid for weed! And today I get to feel what this can do to the world. Glad I dont any more.
