Very different kites.

The Rebel is meant for hooked in big jumps and hangtime/all-round freeride. I think the Razor is aimed more at unhooked freestyle.

I had a brief demo on a Razor. I think it was a 2012. Bar pressure was light. Jumps weren't especially big, not much hangtime, but that isn't what the kite is about. It reminded me of the 2011/2012 Naish parks that I have flown. I don't unhook much, so can't comment on that.

So if you are looking for big jumps and hangtime, the Rebel would be the winner out of these two kites, but there are many others that jump well.

They're different kites as already stated.

I do not unhook but have a decent amount of time on a Razor. The Razor is a great jumper, it rips you off the water quite violently but isn't lofty like the Rebel. You will need to fly the kite in the air a little in order to extend your hang time.

If you are into kite looping and want a fast kite, the Razor is the kite for you. The Razor loves to loop...a lot.

If you like OR and want a lofty, easy kite, go with the Prodigy....and perhaps also consider the Evo from North.

Razor goes plenty high but doesn't stay there long. Jumping technique is C kite ish. The lift comes from sending it aggressively with the bar at full power. Anyone used to sending it then sheeting in will need to adapt in order to really punt.
Never flown a rebel.

just got into razor's, jumped higher with those kites than any other cause of their aggressiveness, the jump is a quick way up holds u there for a second then you come down, gave up on a kite with more hang time because the razor to me is the perfect kite, the hang time is pretty good for a kite that is excellent in the waves, loops and is a freestyle/freeride kite

but the rebel is going to be better for more hang time, i highly suggest you try a razor thou

if all you want is jump, rebel/fuse or any other typical high aspect kite

razor does everything for me, kinda scared OR will change it in the future

Completely agree with jespin4845, the Razor jumps completely different than the Rebel, it's a quick vertical yank, which I prefer over the gradual jump/sheet in and then glide down. It takes a bit of getting used to coming from a bow or delta kite, but I prefer it.

It's a much more responsive, always-on kite than the Rebel. Faster turning, etc.

It really depends on what you want to do, if you want to hang in the air forever - Rebel, if you want to be yanked off the water and catapulted into the sky quickly - Razor.

The 2014's just came out, and it looks like they will continue with the same lineage.

Other high aspect ratio kites to maximize hangtime: Ozone Edge, Naish Draft, Cabrinha Velocity, North Dyno, RRD Addiction.

As others have said though, these kites sacrifice turning speed.
