Cabrinha bar repair - split foam / grip

Postby kelamist » Thu Nov 07, 2013 2:11 am

Hey,

I have the 2010 Cabrinha bar, its had a lot of use and now the foam grip has split showing the metal bar underneath.

I'm thinking of using some kind of bar tape to repair it possibly like you would use on a tennis racket?

Just wonder if anyone has any products they might have used and could recommend?

Thanks,

most normal tape has glue that comes undone eventually in the water so you end up with a sticky mess, it'd have to be similar stuff that the manufacturers use to be any good

I have the same problem and now I just let it be bare at some spots, the metal feels pretty good actually

shoe goo is pretty good.
I wrap my SS bar in cycle tape and then use Type A Tear aid to seal it down. bomb proof. :jap:
