So just a friendly suggestion - make sure your leading edge bladder's ends are properly secured and make it a habit to inspect leading edge ends by hand after pumping up your kites, just to make sure there's some bladder in it.
So Mr Alex after flying your kite for nearly a year did you not follow your own advice and make sure your kite was safe to fly

I think he expected Dimitri to provide routine inspections and adjustments.

Nope, this is actually a second problem of my own and a forth problem in total regarding which I've contacted Mr.D and got nothing but excuses and blow-offs in response. Mind that I'm not counting the offers to buy replacement parts, which I took at least once only to discover that replacements for faulty parts are just as faulty.

Up until it happened to me, I never even heard about that kind of a failure, so trust me - from now on, i'll be inspecting my bladders very rigorously before heading out - especially on my Epic kites! After all, we all know that mr.D is not interested in cutting corners like other companies do and hes stuff is really of top notch quality and outstanding QC!!!

20-30 times? And blame the manufacturer for a defect?
Toby, if you start a kiteboarding humor forum please include this thread. The world can use more humor and this one made me laugh.
oh, you so funny!
so, may be in addition to the exaggerated sense of humor you are gifted by the knowledge of how much sessions void the epic kite warranty? five? ten? nineteen?
i know in my country goods sold to a private person have TWO years warranty time. i think in majority of the EU countries warranty time is 1 or 2 years, and not the times of use.
Toby, you know better what is it in Germany. and i'm pretty sure US has some consumer right protection laws too

You think wrong, most are 12 months.
And the amount of use can be taken into consideration, as can the type of use.

Yep, but if the kite is bought second hand (as I believe this one was), no matter what age the warranty is void.
I would not by a car from auto trader and then go the manufacturer for a warranty exchange. Why because when you buy the car you are not entering into a contract with the manufacturer but the person you buy the car from.
Anyway carry with your inane stupidity if that's what you enjoy.
Me I'm going to get the fire going and have a beer as winter has set in good and proper here.
