Jumping stoke.

Postby plummet » Sun Nov 24, 2013 10:47 pm

Ahhhh....

Had a sweet session yesterday. 18-20 knots on the 13m meter. Super sweet boosts and glides.

A kite perfectly powered. scream full speed at a piece of chop and wave lip. time the send and BOOM.

So much fun.

It never gets old for me. Its why I started kiting and why I continue.

The faster the longer the better. I really enjoy a high speed jump. It doesn't need to be super high. I like to cover distance. What I also really enjoy is a buttery smooth soft but high speed landing.

yeah had fun the other day 25 - 30 knots on a nice new Demo 10m doing helicopters down the beach - the funniest part is when you offer people a go on it after goin big, the just stare at you and go... 'fark no'

There is nothing more fun than boosting high and looping the beast. :thumb:

Nice! Nothing, and I mean nothing, beats a high speed, perfectly powered, boost (preferably off a ramp). Suddenly it all goes quiet, and the next thing you know you're 40 or 50 feet up, watching the water, flying the kite, to a (hopefully) butter soft landing. Love it!

Over the past few years at my local beach I've noticed lots more people on kites, and lots more people on directional surfboards, which is killer, and fun to watch. But for me, it's all about the AIR.... :thumb:

Riding waves is legendary. Particularly if you can score a sweet head to double head clean wall on a windy day. There's certainly a lot of thrill involved when kiting in big conditions.

I love waves. its a 3d landscape thats much more fun that riding the flat.

But if is was just waves without jumping.... yeah nah! not for me.

Why not do both? Boost on the way out and wave ride on the way in!

That to me is the holy grail. A perfect cross on with head to double head 25-30 knots nice swell interval. good flat water sections between the white wash to crank max speed then a 6 foot ramp. Oh yeah. Boost, tweak, fly, land on the next wave if possible, smash into the pocket ride the wave. fark yeah!.
