To be honest I felt a bit uneasy watching that. Was ok at first, but it turned into UFC style battering towards the end. Fair enough give the guy a lesson, but throwing elbows while mounted is a bit much.

Clearly the guy had more attitude and balls than common sense though.

Kala (think that is who it was - surfer /standup paddleboarder) didnt get too much respect for pining down the skinny teenager with out a second lot of physical provocation. 10 year old footy though i think.

I have got shit for just paddling for a wave in Maui off a surf gang after letting all them get a wave. Then told them they should thank me for all the awesome southern swells I send to them from NZ, it was a funny moment one of them looked very confused - then I got some waves that were 10 times more shit than what i had scored in nz with the same swell.

Hawaiians have taken so much crap from all the brazil, cali and aussi douche bag surfers over the years its no wonder they get pissed off...I lived there for many years. Its really easy - show that you respect them, give them priority and they respect you. Act like a douche - get treated like one....thats island style...
