I just heard the rumor about a fatality in Paracuru.
Supposedly a Ukranian kitesurfer got tangled in the lines?
Does anyone know more?

If this is true then it's very bad news.

I hate hearing this stuff. RIP
Everyone should have a hook knife, check it often before you go out. I keep mine on a tether tucked under my spreader bar. I also have a small folding rescue knife tucked into the side of my seat harness, also on a tether line so I cannot drop in a panic.
It may be overkill, but why not, they do not effect anything, and COULD save your life.

would be interesting to know how the line got tangled and what happened then.
Pretty crowded spot, so I wonder how much time passed etc.
RIP Stanislaw
