Naish Park 2013 quiver

Hi,

This year I was riding the Naish Helix 2010 in 7 and 10 MTR. I sold these kites and now I want to buy two Park kites.

I am around 80KG and use the Shinn SuperShinn 1.35*41 board. I usually kite with 14 to 30 knots. Now I am wondering what would be the best quiver:

Naish Park 2013 8 and 11 MTR or Naish Park 2013 7 and 10 MTR?

Could anyone advise me what would be best for the most windrange from 2 kites? Last question, is it possible to use the Naish 2010 (Universal/Helix) bar with the 2013 Park?

I would go with the 11 and 8. It does depend a bit on the sustained wind..if it very gusty above the 30 knots?

I think it would be fine to ride the 8 in those winds but it will be powered up. I think 11 was a magic size last year, and so I would definitely take that kite...the gap between the 11 and a 7 I think it a bit much, so I would take the 8.
Sick kites :-)

Thanks, anymore who can give me advise or make my quiver choice easier?_

I replaced my Helix 2010 quiver 14/10,5/9/7 with 2013 Park 12/9/7. 75kg, riding surfboards and Shinn Speedball W16.

I think you could replace the sizes like for like. You can also play a bit with the line lengths. You could use 7m extensions instead of the 4m for the 10m size if you want to squeeze out a little more low end.
I also have the 2010 bar but did not try it on the Park. I retrofitted with a swivel (Wainman) and new 20m front lines to have the low V like on the current Naish bar. Works perfectly and is a small investment.

Thanks Dirk, I am only wondering now if I can use the 2010 bar on the 2013 Park? Anyone who can comment?

yeah no problem.

Make sure back and front lines equal length.

Sorry to bump this thread, is it also possible to use the 2010 universal (Helix) bar on the 2014 Park? This so I can use this 2010 bar as spare or extra for the smaller kite ?

I am looking at buying a Park 2014 11 and 8 quiver. I would like to use the 2010 (20mtr lines) bar on the 8 and order the 11 with a new bar.

Hope someone can tell me this is going to work? Would using the 2010 make any difference in the flying charistics of the Park 2014 over the 2014 bar? Or does the different Y split make a huge difference?

That should work fine. Just make sure your lines have not stretched.

Also going for 2014 is a good move. I think there is a significant performance difference.

:)
