From getting out of car to stepping into the water.... about 10 mins.

About the same in reverse.

I could probably cut that down to 5 with a lot of running.

In this challenge it should from pull out of out of bag to in launch. kite in the air.
Same for landing. Land the kite pack it down.

funny

i´m super lazy in setting-up things, can´t see spending less than 20 minutes putting all stuff together

by other hand packing down it´s a breeze

first thing i do is to deflate the kite - between rolling the lines, taking out the wetsuit, etc the air is all gone and this make things easier

i also use a IKEA as a kite bag, so never waste time in rolling things tight and don´t babysit my stuff - aka: cleaning all the sand - much

yeaah, the hate bit is with the pump, i wish i had a compressor…

completely seasonally dependant. Mid summer thermals I can make a great session out of an hour. No change of clothes, just hop out of the car, walk over and rig. Typically on the water in just over 5 min of casual but always in motion rigging, ride for just over 45 min, and pack down in 5. Leaves 5 min to chat. I also live about a 3 min drive from my typical summer launch.

Winter, I'm not even thinking of pulling the trigger unless I have a couple hours. and thats to stay local. Various stages of wetsuit up to full on drysuit with trimmings, can take upward of 10 min on both font and back end. Rigging is typically a little slower on both ends too just cause I rig slower the windier it gets, and Im not one to get into a wetsuit for light wind.

There is also the drive factor that is often more substantial for bigger fall days or any time there is north in it.... that alone can add a couple hours to the adventure. I'll drive over an our plus suit up time for just over an hour in killer conditions and then drive home for a grand total of 4 hours and change.

Ditto.

1 minute from bag to sky with all my Flysurfers. Maybe 2, but I'm not running around frantically. (ok my 19 meter might take another 30 sec to fully inflate).
3-4 min max takedown.

Wetsuit is the only thing that take too long!

Awesome !

How long time to pack down ?

I havent been out the last days - otherwise I would time just to have an idea of how long it takes to rig and derig.
Maybe not a fast time, I know, but simply because it is interesting, and because noone has posted their "times" yet, so the first one to post, is the fastest for a while ha haa

19m2 tube kite off the ground....
..... 4min 11 sec..from start to finish...
.... which includes 83 sec of pumping
not rushing
packing neatly about 6 min for that same kite with lines kept on ready for next session
If i have only one hour to kite i can spend EZ 45 min on the water :surf:

A handicap with this size, true, but you are still "first" and the fastest right now :thumb:

Ive got a launch and land on my speed 3 15m on recorded. Leasurely strolling 7 mins launch and land included.

The 1min call by Tone is possible but that doesn't include inflation. The kite takes a further minute to inflate. But you can use that time to walk to the water.
