Am I the only one who doesn't see the point in this sort of competition?

Are you talking about that Dynabar contest?
Show us a cool pic of you using out product and you could win one of our products!?!

Yeah, I'd like to win one to give it a go, but I don't qualify!

This, but didn't want to pollute the thread.

I've seen several comps this year, in this format. Not necessarily in this sport though...

Like the guy on the Axis board; better to get the product out and in the hands of users IMO - give some away if you have, set up demo days if you can.

Can't believe how hard it is to get demos here in Japan too... especially considering kiters are usually middle-aged gents who get big fat cash bonuses and buy multi-kite quivers on a regular basis...!

You show a pic with the bar and get a harness. Maybe someone needs a new harness. I have their slider bar but can't be bothered.

I have 6 harnesses and don't see the problem with one more though :D :D It is kind of like being a cat lady except it is harnesses. No, I do not recognize this as having a problem.

I like my V7 spreader bar and would like to win a V8 but like most, I don't have a cool enough pic.

I thought my buddy was taking pics last month when I had a stupendous boost where I ended up 20 feet in the air, full horizontal and rolled over on my back. Of course, I landed (bashed the water) in about the same situation. I was wearing a full XT harness at the time :naughty: so it might have been a great photo,

Once I got my breath back and quit seeing stars, I made it back to the beach only to find out no one saw it. :baby: A still pic would have been awesome though because the termination would have been irrelevant if I could have captured that moment.

I like your style, SS

Always the way, KYLK! And when there are cameras out, nobody bothers to offer to send you the pics.
