For me the best purchase that I have made was the Epic screamer 10m Ltd! It is a fun kite that I can use as a one kite quiver for when I am traveling and want to keep packing to a minimum. The Judge 8m is another kite that I have been using and absolutely love it as well.

Airush Lithium 8 2011 4 struts model (new!) for USD$510,-
That's a bargain for a good low end with some grunt to pull me over the waves for a smooth kite to be used as light wind (15knots) wave kite.
I don't understand why one would need big sizes like 14m,15m, 17m as this kite gets me going in waves and strong current at 15knots

Both my wife and I are also extremely happy with our
Ride Engine harnesses.
...
All in all a good year for purchases but the ENGINE harness far exceeded my expectations and was the most surprising improvement to my gear.
Happy holidays
Pete
Same for me, absolutely loving my Engine harness. The other gear elements are just renewal due to wear and tear but no big change. That harness is the real deal. Been on for the last 4 months.
you guys just kidding right?
i have never seen so ugly made harness in my life, and, believe me, i have seen Patlove and Underwave ones...
whatever you are talking about how it is comfortable it is just plane crude and fugly. and then i have to find the decent spreader bar for it?
and for the final blow 300 bucks for this hideousness? the Engine should tone it up with the complimentary fedora hat to complete your hipsters look if you are so trendy...
i stick with traditional harnesses, made with love by small chinese hands in SE Asia sweatshops.

I am sorry, I did not know this was actually about the "Cutest purchase for 2013". Personally, I think the customized graphics are really cool.
Please post again when you have an opinion based on your personal experience. All else held equal, I would choose the better looking piece of equipment, but with the Engine Harness nothing else is equal.
