Wondering ... Would be great to pack all my gear in carry on and would make it worth buying one

I would think it would be unlikely with the M, maybe with the L. Most airlines have a max linear dimension of 45 inches (Some go up to 51). That is the sum of length, width, and height. However, that max length tends to be from 22 to 25 inches. I assume the board would have a split length of 26.3 inches, which is longer than any carry on limit I have seen.
You might get lucky, but I would not count on it.

Here is the standard blurb for most airlines

Code: Select all

You can bring one small carry-on bag plus one personal item per passenger as long as the carry-on bag fits comfortably in the sizer without being forced and does not exceed overall dimensions of 45 inches (length + width + height).

The maximum dimensions cannot exceed any of the following measurements: 22" long x 14" wide x 9" tall or 115cm (56 x 36 x 23 cm). All carry-on items should be stowed in an overhead bin.

Sweet! I just got a spit to put in the front of my Porsche as well. Now can really pack down and have gear anywhere. Times are changing from having to have a car specific to carry all your gear to being able to put in a backpack. Just got the new Jay slider bar and Dakine short harness and ordered a 12m Speed lotus as the perfect 1 kite, board, harness setup for car in the city and traveling. Wish I had the Lambo though :P
