Nothing beats riding them yourself of course but those are my impressions. I think both are good kites but I'd give the RPM the nod on flexibility. If, however, you like to ride over powered and to use your board to manage it then you might just like a modern C kite...just don't expect it to be an easy ride.

Try before you buy! I have flown both kites and prefer the c4. The c4 has plenty of depower and can be ridden by anybody beginner or expert. Todays kites have so much range that to label one as a kite for experts is silly. Go ride a kite from 2000 and then try the c4. Big valve and no pulleys makes it for me. Whatever you buy you will be stoked cause both kites are awesome!

I haven't tried RPM. I used to love the C4 when it first came out, but I think my new kites will be Catalysts. Haven't tried them yet though. 3 struts, light weight simple pump and no pulleys is very interesting to me. Previous catalysts (pre 2013) with the flat design were not so interesting to me since I like the way a C-kite turns with power through the turns instead of the pivot of flatter kites. But I am not into wake style, so catalyst sounds more right for me than C4. And it is cheaper so win all around. But haven't tried it yet. Still need to try.

RPM is a good all around kite but the thing I don't like is that it doesn't have the best jumping ability. So if this is important to you, then I would look elsewhere.

The catalyst has much better jumping ability and is good all around.

I have not ridden the C4 but from what I hear, it boosts sick!
