KTA Indonesia 2014 - 9 days of kiting action
This is it then the start of the KTA Indonesia powered by Bintan, which can be truly classed as a full-on event rather than just a competition with the stacked package that is on offer over the next week.
The 9 days of KTA opens its doors at the Trikora Beach Club who playing host to the first ever Indonesian KTA Race Clinic on the 18/19th January 2014. The clinic will be led and coached by World Championship racer and former Olympian Nils Stolzlecher in the second of his teaching partnerships with the KTA this season. TT and Formula class racers alike will be joining Nils to sharpen their skills and tune their racing knowledge for the competition ahead.

This first weekend also boasts something for the freestylers with KTA Judge and Flexifoil pro-rider Robin Snugs running his ‘Pre-Comp Stomp’ at the Kitoons Kite School. The ideal opportunity then for old school and new school riders alike to up their game before the big show kicks off later in the week.
Not be outdone no sooner than the weekend coaching clinics have finished, the KTA Kite Kids will be swinging into action under the watchful eye of the projects leader and motivator Kathrin Borgwardt. The KTA Kite Kids will be taking place from the 20th January through until the competition registration and warm-up day. The KTA Kite Kids will take place at the Agro Resort, the location in fact that launched the whole Kite Kids project a year ago, making this a very fitting return.
The 23 -26th January will then see the full KTA Asian Championship Tour take centre stage as the competition proper gets underway at the Bintan Regency beach event location known as KM52. The competition will see all the core IKA World ranking disciplines in action over the four days, which means you will be able to enjoy freestyle, Formula and TT racing action from everyday. Then the final icing on the cake will be the return again for the Indonesia round of the highly successful ‘Weekend Warriors TT Race’. This will see many more local and Singaporean based riders joining the KTA ranks for what promises to be a final weekend not to miss.
The Bintan Regency along with the Bintan Tourism Department and the Agro Beach Resort have again this season joined forces to sponsor and make the KTA Indonesia a reality, providing the event with a high level of support to ensure every aspect is a success for both riders and spectators alike. So be sure to head to KM52 next week to take in the kiteboarding competition and enjoy true Indonesia hospitality.www.kiteboardtour.asia
