Few days ago I saw Mystics new release system for the spreader bar...
It looks impressive!
Have a look:

I know it doesn't apply to you but how would you unhook with this?

I read somewhere, in the old thread I think (why a new thread?) that you can lock up that spring for unhooking.

Thankfully this isn't their standard spreader bar, it's an additional accessory that's available.

yes, you can lock the loop lock so you can go unhooked.
and if the loop lock is open, and you have to release the spreader bar, the system locks the loop so the metal hook does not get lost!
Really smart system, I checked it out personally and was impressed.

Great system.
Would be nice to have an option near the swivel in case your being dragged on land, because you cant reach under to grab things....

Good thing: it allows you to release the cabrinha bar to the leash if you don't want to activate the flagging line.
Bad thing: I wonder if you are getting dragged across the water belly down and you release that thing, will it take your jugular and larynx with it?

clif37....they are most likely not yet in the states. Dealers, including myself, will have them available late winter, early spring.
