Postby fastrider » Tue Jan 21, 2014 10:15 pm

Ive been thinking of getting a go pro 3 but do to having a 4 year old as of know thats out of the question but i have came up with a good way to mount a kodak play sport to your kite (playsports are cheap on ebay) if you get a arm band for a cell phone ($16) it works perfect for those shots. Grand total of $50 and it does 1080 and has image stable built in just a fyi

So not to sound dense, but your pic at the top shows the camera shooting through the clear mylar of the armband, then on the video is says you burned a hole in the armband for the lens to shoot through.......

Is your video shot through the hole or through the clear plastic? The resulting footage is quite good for a cheapski camera.

I wouldn't mind having an inexpensive strut mount camera. $50 is great.
I do see that ebay is loaded with these cameras. Which model did you get?

Thanks!

The video i posted was someone else using the kodak playsport. I found that for another guy. I shot some video of my son today and you cant even tell the clear plastic is there. Its a perfect shot. The camera fits tight in the holder so there is no signs of the plastic plus it protects the lens.
I was looking into what the guy did in the video and i may modify mine but as of now it shoots good video so why cut holes.
Mine is the zx3 playsport. The zx5 allows for a remote control use eather one does 1080.
