That's Shawn Richman in the Kitebeach Kookout 4 vid. Nice powered handplant backroll transition around 1 minute in.

And he does the best beach start I've ever seen a few seconds after that :thumb: :cool2:

You mean, hand plant the water or on something hard? Dimitri seems to be pretty good at them... give him a message?

I liked the Kookout too :) thx

why kiteloop? works without. Just keep it on 12...and then pull forward when going to end phase of rotation...

The loop is need when not enough power in the kite.

But then with a loop it is is not really a transition...

Toby do I not understand what a transition is? You pop off the water, hold on to the bar with your back hand, touch the water with your front hand, the kite does a loop and you drag your hand, you let the kite pull you in the other direction.

That is easier than popping off the water, holding on to the back hand not enough for the kite to loop but enough to do a hand drag, then redirecting the kite for a landing with your front hand and then downlooping it to go the other direction.

Or maybe I do not understand what a transition is?
