It was a directional board, solid construction, with less volumen than a a standard actual surf kite board.

The older model (159cm trifin) and the newer Zone (174 cm quad)
The 159 is an absolute blast/fun to ride. The 174 surfs better. Both have TT construction so effectively no real volume like a surfboard or standard sort of directional kite board.

I have a Skywalker Wave Directional that is the same construction as the Zone.
If you want to buy it, or find out more about it, send me a PM.

I don't know where you are located (Europe?) but there is a shaper in the south of France that produce such board :
http://rootshapesnews.blogspot.fr/p/slice.html, two standart size (but custom size available if you wish). His boards even if still confidential are more and more famous. It is a kind of allround directional board, good low-end, fast, reactive, jump, surf (not exactly as a regular surfkite but way better than a TT), nice in the chop and it is rock solid.
I don't know if he speaks english, you may try to contact him.

Hi,
we are working on new Zone Waveboards.
We think in spring they are available on the market.
They will be same solid like the previous ones.
I hope you can wait until then.
Ciao

I'm liking those root shape boards!
But if there is a possible new spleene coming out pretty soon I might wait?
The old quad that I had was such a great board, could take a knock, had a very low rocker in the tail so planed really quickly but the nose had a really curving rocker so that the nose just didn't dig in on the drop down the wave face!
Really miss it

Very glad to hear this!
I still have my '07 Zone (small version) and I still love it....very efficient in light wind AND excellent when it gets too wild for a strapless surfboard too. I have punished this board mercilessly for the last 7 years and it has no signs of failing.
