1) Lock your gear on the beach
2) Self launch your kite
3) Go out surfing with a nice feeling!

I'd get rid of the self-launch feature ; all a thief needs to do, is
stick a screw-driver or piece of re-bar in the hook, and unwind it.

Other-wise, it looks Good ; Mr steal-it would move on to an easier target.

accident waiting to happen. do you want to be dragged by the kite over it? or do you want your kite lines get stuck on this devices hook?

and what stops the potential thief to disconnect the shoulder strap of your kite bag out from the adjusting buckle?

yeah, not to be too negative, im sure it works as a deterrent, but if a thief wants your stuff they will get it. Nothing stopping someone just unzipping your bag and taking whats inside!

Just cut the bag strap easy.

Not a bad tethering option.

80€ ???' Way more expensive than all the stuff I leave on the beach.
If I leave this on the beach they would take it as an offence and rob the device + my bag. Double expence...
If everyone starts sticking poles in the sand we will end up spending all our money fixing kites.

Sorry dude, not for me.
