PS: a helmet should be mandatory in every competition like this!
It was his leg that got injuried. No helmet would help this ;)

Is it something they eat overthere ?
No. it is something they smoke over there. We will see a lot of great kiters from Colorado in the future...

i thought the live feed did a terrible production job. the camera was never pointed in the right spot and rarely if ever did it catch the full scope of what the riders were doing.

Those pictures on the other hand are amazing and maybe the best kiteboarding pictures i have ever seen.

An innovative tool available to the judges was Xensr technology. The application measures the height, speed, airtime, gravity
loading, location and the 3D motion of athlete with all data captured at 400 times a second and is accurate to within 3mm, as
soon as they land a jump. All jump data is immediately relayed to judges and live stream. Frenchman Tom Herbert recorded the
highest jump of the day – a lofty 25.04m.

...
:o 25.04m , that's 82 feet up in the air !! :o

Highest jump i ever seen at Mohave, is maybe 55ft ; and i thought
that was high !!

It's kinda Too-Bad that someone got Hurt though. :(

What happened to Jesse Richman? What move was he doing that resulted in his leg injury?

PS: Jesse, we wish you a speedy recovery!
