I suppose it's that balance between height, hang time and how aggressive the mega loop is (with other technical tricks stuck in there. Still think Ruben was more aggressive with his loops overall and with his forward rolls chucked in for good measure, but Kevin was winning in the 'air', would have been close the judging I reckon, but it is king of the air after all. There was that one jump Kevin did was it in the final or semi, can't remember, but he went big and long!!!

Who is that? And how come the organizers have a post that only measures to 15m?

The angle of his kite whilst just chilling up there... that's the strange thing.

He must love the feeling of freefall!

The commentators mentioned that different competators were running different line length. The guy that won was on 27m lines. The dudes doing the harder core but lower kiteloops on 20m lines.

70 percent of points were given to height / airtime in general, hence the right person won considering the criteria for judging.

Does anyone know where the Xensr jump height results are? I heard that the highest jump was 25m from Tom Herbert on a North Evo, and the next highest was Andries Fourie on a Carbinha Switchblade. The rest of the field were on C-kites (except for Shaun Richman on a Draft) but no one could match their heights.

That's what's it is all about!! No other sport can deliver that specific style, but wakestyle can be done behind any boat. Not dishing wakestyle mind you I love watching that to and admiring the skill, but this, this is what kiting can deliver like no other.
