I wouldn't mind a leash with a QR on both ends. No more getting a line inside a carabiner, and it gives you a second release point if you want it.

Here is mine ...
1st pict. "shorty" for waves and snowkiting ( i attach it to the front of the harness so i can eject the kite if sh!t happens).the long one is for freestyle/unhooking with foam protection not to lose a finger or anything.see how a co-kiter lost his thump from a non foam protected leash in picture 2
3rd pict. the wichard carabiner that i saw from HADLOW with a small rope for pulling the pin.

Without meaning to continue the off-topic subject, I can't help but wonder how long a tack you need when you've crashed your kite.

+1 to encourage manufacturers to improve kite leashes. I've been fish hooked in the arm by a carabiner, and it was excruciatingly painful while the kite was pulling me by a tendon. Also seen a friend get jacked up by a non-foam leash wrapping around fingers and looping.

Haha, thought it was a joke at first, it looks f****** ridiculous. It 'sails its way back to you' haha, this sport can be really lame!!!

I think you and several other people miss the point. Sure, f***** the sailing back feature, but thanks to that balloon extending over the water (or forcing the board several centimeters up if it is on back) you can see your board in pretty wavy water conditions when carried away after a f***-up. But you can do with cheap children floaties, too
Without that feature I would loose my board several times during first years of kiting (I'm using it still - board is money
). Of course on the flat its less useful
