Planning a trip to Venezuela in June and still deciding between Yaque+Coche or Los Roques. If possible I would like to get feedback on the following:
- How crowded these places are
- Safety
- Wind (reliability, strength, etc. besides what windalert and other sites may say).
We are a big group trying to decide (10-12 guys). Native spanish speakers.
Thanks!

If u go to the Vela resort page u can see wind stats
I use to go there yearly but going thru Caracas got a little scary
Once at the resorts it is safe enough, but running out of basic supplies such as bread, got a little old! So quit going,
They are both amazing places on their own right, at Yaque u can take boat upwing and do downwinders, beaches are full of wonderful people from all over, going to Coche fore the day, can be an experience.
But Los Roques is an incredible experience, worth at least 2 to 3 days!
Good luck ! It's a tough call but u can take an island hopper plane from Yaque to Los Roques, and take several kites!

Good luck dodging the rubber bullets. Make sure to bring a gas mask to protect from the tear gas. Those water cannons can also leave quite a bruise.

Indeed tough and sad times for our fellow Venezuelans. That might change our plans, but hopefully not. Do you have to leave the airport to get to Margarita?

The terminal for island hopper to Margarita is diff than international flights
There are some flights that avoid Caracas, look into that. Also Vela can have someone coordinate things w u and will set you up at Yaque
If you get to Caracas early maybe u can get to other airline for island hopper same day
Their schedule is 8am to 5pm
Good luck buddy, this may not be the year to go.
