The 15 is 3.9 kg, the 17 is 4.1 and the 19 is 4.2 for the 2013 model of the Edge according to IKA. So it is around 30% lighter per size than the Edge without taking into account the differences in projected area. The Chrono looks less curved than a Edge from the videos online.

I hope the Edge is not any more delicate than the 2013 model!

I'll be picking up and flying my Chrono 18 in 4 and a half hours. Woke up early excited just like a kid on Christmas.
hmm, my 15m Lotus is 2kg.
Also a 15m Edge is 3.9kg, not sure the weight of a 17m Edge.
What!!!??? Your scale or mine must be way off. Maybe I weigh a lot less than I do then. I hope I'm wrong. I'm using a digital japanese made scale. Hmmmmmmmmmm. The Lotus I am sure about 100% unless scale is wrong which means the gyms scale is wrong too.

I'd rather be kiting than blogging.

Awesome, so the scales must work and be accurate as if you get the measurements wrong, they don't work

That's nice video of riding in 6-8 knots at kite level on the water.
No disrespect intended.
The whirligig meter on the sloping beach reads off 3, 4, 5 knots but it is still on the beach, meter at 1.6m above the ground.
Narrator says he is at the level of kite because of beach sloping up to him, but it is onshore.
So onshore flow, cold layering, gradient, and thermal effect over sand all give him a lower windspeed reading than the kite is seeing.
Looking at the water in puffs it is 6-8 knots.
When kite gets low it starts to stall -that is when it is in 3-6 knots.
Great kite, but no miracles seen here.
Thanks for showing the video, it does look like a true competitor for the speeds.
