I have three sessions on my Rebels ,so far so good. I was out yesterday 40f airtemp 34f water, low tide , on shore ,March sun, perfect winter conditons. I still need time to dial in the feel before any solid feedback. Things I notice different than my last kites(cab vectors. 2012) . Upwind seems stupid easy, relaunch is good, burst of speed I have never felt, little slower steering but noticable difference in power on down stroke, its not the lightest kite so low end seems about the same, but that weight I think is what give this kite incredible stability and power stroke. I have been out in very gust conditions and this kite never seems to lose shape or get pushed around. I am not much of jumper yet , but the little jumps I have done have seemed effortless. 5th line has not been an issue. one more line, not a big deal, it clearly is what gives this kite the direct feel people talk about. I am still getting used to the more immediate pull of the kite compared to the Vector. Bar pressure is without question med to light, which is great news for my elbows .
And on a final note, these kite look great in the air, Love that gear thing in the trailing edge.
Hope this helps
Good luck

Right now, I like my 2012 Evos but for the next quiver, I think I'll give a try to the Rebel. I'm 95% of the time hooked in.
Does the drift of the new Rebel is better than the 2012 Evo?
Dan at North, does the new spi from the other company (40% lighter/40% stronger) will be on the 2015 kites?
Thank Westozzy, really liked your country few years ago... Next time I'll try the west coast!
Thanks mate!!!
Cool sounds right and for your weight as well to be honest. The rebel is one of the few kites big guys don't fold!! Enjoy it s a wonderful wing.
Ps drift ....no the old Evo will have better drift, it sits further back (much further) than the rebel. You can't have everything I'm afraid.

"new spi from the other company"... I have no idea what spi is or what company you're talking about... Can you get more specific?

I heard that the tissue ( techno force d2) would be changed for a new material 40% lighter 40 % stronger???thats what I've heard... But maybe the guy was wrong... You're the guy who can tell me if it's right.
Thanks for the infos...I appreciate!
