Come on Michel, really think about this. You irritate and taunt him because you can get away with it online. If we were humans occupying the same close proximity real estate, Chys would have choked you by now. If you two lived in the same area, you would choose not to speak to each other and everyone would be happier because of it. Maybe you should consider that.

As for the post, Austin is a terrific place. You are going to love it. I am originally from Texas and if I were to move back, that is where I would go. I used to live a few miles from Belton lake. Wish I knew about kiteboarding back then.

Michel -
You provoke me, in three different threads at once, and then you pretend to be surprised when you make me angry?
Try being honest for a change, you are making trouble on purpose, the innocent act is just more bullshite dishonesty, how stupid do you think people are?
I finally decided to give you back some, after trying to ignore you for months.
I am very nice to those that show others respect, but I do not suffer fools gladly.
I have asked you to leave me alone many, many times, you refuse to do so.
The moderator of this forum has instructed you to do so as well, you ignore his instructions.
If you don't like my "off limits" words, then pretend I do not exist on this forum and I would be very glad to do the same towards you.

I've lived in Austin for the last 23 years and I can tell you without a doubt it sucks.

The vibe of the city has almost completely changed, it's too expensive to live near downtown for middle class folks, and all the events that made it cool in the first place are too damn crowded to deal with now (re: barton springs, blues on the green, SXSW, etc). As a transplant you probably won't notice because you don't have a baseline to judge, but as a long time resident it's super depressing. Austin has basically been annexed by rich californians who cashed out when the real estate market boomed and completely fucked up the cost of living for the rest of us.

And lets be clear, the wind sucks. Yes, it totally sucks. Spirits are high right now because it's the windy season and we're getting to ride a couple of times a week. Drop by during summer and you may get to ride several times a month. Also, the wind is gusty shit. Sure we manage to still learn, but your progress is seriously retarded if you only get to ride a couple of times a week in gusty wind. Even Belton is gusty, but it's so much better than the smaller lakes which is why we jizz ourselves every time we make the hour and a half drive out to it (yes, over an hour to ride there).

Don't you ever wonder why coleman and chrys spend so much time chatting on this forum? It's because they're waiting for wind and restless as f***. I would be on the forum more often but I've gotten super good at doily-craft with all this free time I have on my hands. Check me out on Etsy sometime. Chrys and coleman might scoff at the doily stuff but that's because they can't afford doily supplies after spending so much cash just to get access to lake travis.

The only cool thing about the austin scene is that the kiters are all pretty cool and we've formed a really tight knit group. Well, the pflugerville kiters have. The Travis kiters have aligned themselves with the pole dancers in an act against god and humanity, and frankly deserve the same respect afforded to child molesters. YES, I DO think Travis kiters should be placed on a watch list and have to walk door to door informing their neighbors of their poor life choices.

So by all means, come to austin. I'll show you how to make some bitchin' doilies and a few times a month we'll slap a high five while keeping the lakes mowed.

Dude!!! That was an awesome rant. :thumb: I don't agree with you in any way, shape or form, but for some reason I found that entertaining.

It is a shame that cool places get too crowded, but that is just the nature of things. Sorry the growth of the area has ruined it for you. Glad that making dollies has filled the void for you.

Hey PJ - Nice to see you are having a good Friday afternoon.
Travis is five minutes from my front door to the water, the Pfluger is 40-45 minutes.
I spend less money not paying for gas and tolls, so it's a no brainer for me.
Much more room there as well.
Sorry you feel that we have betrayed the code by consorting with the evil pole dancers. :allbegood:
Sorry to hear that you are not as stoked about Austin these days, but if you lived 37 years in Western New York, you would thank your lucky stars every day when you woke up to no snow, no sleet, no cold, no gray skies.
Sunny and warm suits me just fine.
The ability to start a business and not have it fail because the economy here is defying the trend in so many cities in the country.
Lots of opportunity for anybody who wants to work.
Independently owned restaurants and bars instead of pure franchised oblivion.
It may not be the Austin you remember as a teen-ager, but it looks pretty good from where I'm standing.
Please make me a nice doily for my living room table.
I'm gonna go across the street and grab a nice Travis session on your Dialer. :D

Great info splatnkik :thumb:

Not surprised to know that this married pitbull in his mid fifties enjoys a lap dance once in a while
I have an idea what he also does at 1 AM beside KF on his computer when his wife is fast asleep
:naughty: :nono:

SupaEgo
Pole dancers refers to windsurfers, you daffy dingbat.
Never had a lap dance in my life.
You cannot stop thinking/talking about what I do late at night.
Does Gina know you are an old queen? Does she know she is your beard?
Your fascination with me is SupaCreepy.
The kid said his family may be moving here, we are providing information and help.
PJ (Splattery Gangbanger) is just griping, and you are talking about yourself...as usual.
Nobody cares what you think.
Your ego and narcissism know no bounds, get over yourself Nancyboy.
