Here in Sweden, women are always naked so that they can cuddle the polar bears that roam freely in our cities.
We're also big on making watches and cheese...no wait, that's Switzerland.
Our first language is probably American but some how we learn "Scandinavian" as well. It's totally weird!

Most people don't know we invented dynamite and adjustable spanners and made the first operational Pacemaker but we are famous for "The Swedish Bikini-team", which is not from Sweden and holds no Swedish members.

You have got to love cultural stereotypes.

However, this much is true. In general and relative Americans: We believe that violence is more dangerous than sex outside of marriage. We don't smoke pot. We do drink a lot of coffee and alcohol. We don't believe in god. We have 6 weeks of vacation per year. Universities are free of charge for everyone. We don't need health insurance because healthcare is free of charge. We pay really high taxes. We haven't mobilized our army since 1814. No city is bankrupt. Crime rates are low.

We eat only vegemite and swim with sharks all the time. If we survive and walk away, which is a rare occasion, ultra deadly snakes, spiders and cane toads mingle everywhere and between.

But seriously, if you have more FB friends than in a real life, or spending more time on forums like this than chatting with real people (no dogs, cats, fishes or any animals, flora or fauna), than you might have a problem.

Hold on. I just did a selfie..

Yep. As it should be.

It does not matter at all if it costs so much, because THEY can afford it. See, the southern EU can't afford it coz they taken advantage of this system. But if the auditing is working well, like it does most of the time up North, than this is a GO. If you can afford it.

What this means is a high number of Uni educated ppl - everyone can if willing to. Not so in the US, unless you can pay or get a scholarship, grants etc.

And this impacts your holidaying. Every summer my single mother and myself spent 5 weeks on a cost in a hotel when I was a kiddo. Single mother on a State owned Co. secretary salary.
This days are different. Coz of Americanism (private prim. schools, middle and Uni's, health, etc...), parents can't afford this any more. Everything is gone into a private hands, meaning dividends for a share holders (which are not many). Remember, this was the State owned before.

I think the Stock Exchange or the Shares are a cancer of societies. It is not sustainable to milk a citizens all the time with nothing in return. Watch "Wolfies of Wall St' for example:)

As many things the Stock Ex. is the US invention. Electricity was good (by Nikola Tesla, to the other guy), cars by Ford great, but this not so.

Saab is closed. Volvo is owned by China.

I thought the Swedes made porn, and got drunk on holidays because booze was so cheep in other countries? Or was this just in the late 80s and ear lie 90s? Come to think of it where do the Scandies go on holiday now, I used to meet them all over the world, but haven't seen one in years?

Most Americans I know take plenty of time off, easily 4 weeks per year, many take more and others are able to retire at ridiculously young ages(mid forties). I own my own business and take at least three weeks off, and I am able to take lots of long weekends and afternoons off. If its windy I can leave work 80% of the time. Like I said before most Americans work too much by choice, we like our toys!!!

L0L, you must not know many people. That's a nice fairy tail existence you have there.
