Hello Everyone,
I know this won't be applicable to a lot of people, but we will be doing a review of the new North Juice kite. We will be shooting the video this Saturday and/or Sunday in Fort Walton Beach, FL. So if you are close and you would like to try out this kite and get your opinion on video follow us on Facebook and we will be more specific about when and where depending on the wind report.
And for everyone else keep an eye out as I will have the video up as soon after as I can! Any suggestions for things to test or look for please leave a comment or call us at the shop anytime!

Have a great weekend!

... yeah I have a suggestion, can you get the biggest guy you have and load the sheesh out of it, I want to know if the LE bends. Maybe kiteloop it and dig your heals to load it up and see what the LE and canopy does?
Also, see if same heavy dude can give it some in its top end range to see how it behaves?
Thanks,
Robbie

Can you get a hold of the new Dyno 18M coming out? Curious about that one as well!

Update.
We got out on Saturday with winds between 10-14mph with a few guys about 200. If you have any questions let us know. It looks like we have a few more windy days coming later in the week so we can test the top end. Stay tuned.

... Hey Curt,
can you see how the kite goes with slow board speeds, ie initial take off power. Can you compare how much static power does it have.
For example, say you gybed or done a transistion and you've slightly messed it up and maybe you've bogged down a bit, with a bit of a dive of the kite you pick up speed again and with some kites you can take off nicely, no sineing involved (eg Dyno 2011 18m) or some kites you need to sine alot just to to get going again. Can you compare this with other kites?
Thanks!!
Robbie

Maybe you already know this.
For a given sice of kite It is mostly the amount of camber and AR that makes some kites lift way more in slow wind speeds than others, so as long as the wind manages to follow the camber 50% more camber gives about 50% more lift, but more camber makes less depower/ less range, so high cambered high AR kites like the 2011 Dyno 18, Edge 19, Chrono18, Flysurfer 19 & 21 lifts a lot more than most other kites without sining and continues to lift a lot longer in slow speed/windspeed jumps.
Longer lines is also a great help for this, by opening up the kite and give a longer pendelum effect.
So when testing light wind kites they should be tested with equal line lenghts, or several different ones to see how it affects how they fly.
