Probably heading to Kauai on Aug.
Is it a good spot ? I'm mainly interested in waves.
Need information also where to hire kitesurf board ans SUP as I'll bring only kites with me, ( I think 7 and 9 shold be ok compared to Maui same season )
Thanks for hints and suggestions.
Bye

nope on the 7 and 9 unless your lucky. Most of the sessions I've had on Kauai have been 12m. Maybe you'll get lucky up at Tunnels for some wave action, but typically the summer can be pretty flat up north. For smaller waves Anini and Fuji beach can be good at higher tides. you can also ride at the river mouth. just know that Kauai isn't as windy as Maui There are some good peeps up north so maybe they'll respond and give you better 411.

I know nothing about kiting Kauai but I can tell you that Maui is windy because of the shape of the Island, they call it a venturi effect... Just because it's windy on Maui doesn't mean the other Islands will be.
