F1 v.s. F2!

Postby everest500 » Thu Aug 26, 2010 2:08 pm

Here we go, another kiteboarding brand... F2 windsurfing getting in to kiteboarding. I'm sure the guys at F-One will be happy about this!! full article and more pictures

F2 is a long time established Windsurfing Brand, they just released a full ilne of Kiteboarding product :

"No matter if it's frozen or perfect tempered we love the challenge and the act with the resulting possibilities, which hills, wind and waves provide. It's our philosophy, that the customer associates perfect function with our products and our Brand F2, no matter if its snowboarding, kiteboarding or windsurfing.

For this Summer 2010 we have expanded our product range with a new developed kiteline, with boards and kites. For every type of water sport of our ranges F2 provides a new neoprene line..."

WOW, F2 was the top of the line - best performing stuff in Windsurfing boards

Those of us old enough to have grandchildren will remember the legendary F2 262 yellow board.... one of a kind... aaaahh the good old days :remybussi:

If their kitebords perform as well as the old windsurf boards I reckon they have a shot at the top....

F2 has made its name in snowboarding and windsurfing before F-one kiteboarding.

about creativity of the name snitching... who is using already taken (for decades now) F1 trade mark?

and the graphics, aren't they all the same for most of the brands lately?

What is your obsession with going on every thread about a kite (other than Ozone) and yelling that it is a Chinese creation?
.
NONE of these kite brands we all ride are designed in China..... and they are ALL sewn in Asia (including Ozone in Viet Nam) where sewing labor is cheap........ you idiot.

F2 made amazing racing snowboards 20+ years ago and great windsurfing gear to boot.
With the exact same name and same logo, so go school up and come back when you grow up.

Guess it is just a coincidence. By the way it is F-One (not F1) and F2 (Fun&Function).

http://www.f2.com/kite/productsarchive.php?L=1&o=/kite/
Looking for do it all board. Barracuda sounds more advanced while rave is like entry level.
Barracuda has triaxial glass fabric on top/bottom :o

I have never seen such a full range of boards in a start up company

http://www.f2.com/kite/boards.php?L=&da ... RIDE%20AIR

A board that's flex can be changed by pumping more or less air in to it, very intresting

Not sure what this bar looks like but from the image of the riders it looks like the old slingy side pull release or the LF...too bad I cant see it.

Also no surf board, odd.....looks like the standard fare of bow kites...nothing too spectacular here...

F2 is a very well known brand in windsurfing and snowboarding. i see they even copied some of the names. Silberpfeil was one of the best racing boards.
Graphic wise its very typical F2 aswell. Something early F-one seemed to copy.

Personally its not what i like but it will speak to others instead.

And about the remark about china kites.... basicly all brands build there kites in asia with good reasons.
