Has anyone been to the new cable park — Velocity Island Park — in Northern California? I've been going a fair bit but haven't seen any kiters there yet.
Figured I'd post about it, as the season at Sherman Island is winding down and cable wakeboarding is a great no-wind alternative / complimentary sport.
It's located right off I-5 in Woodland, CA, about 15 minutes west of the Sacramento Airport. It's about an hour drive from Sherman, and an hour and a half from San Fran.
Hope to see some of you all out there. It's a super epic park, with some mind-blowing rails and kickers. The cable is high and tight, making it perfect for air tricks. There's a full-sized cable system, which spins clockwise, plus they have two System 2.0 cable setups where people can develop board-riding skills really fast. A great place to go shred or accelerate one's progression.
