I'm interested in the Slingshot Rally 2014.
Since I can't fly before I buy, any info or experience with these kites would be greatly appreciated.
I have read all the online reviews but these are mostly all slingshots own reviews.
Some reviews from everyday riders would be nice.

Thanks

I have the 12m 2013. I am about 190lbs. Like to ride hooked in, boost big and ride waves when I can. Very stable kite, no pulleys, and good jumper w good hang time and drifts pretty good. It is an all around kite. I like it a lot and would buy another one. It is also has great range. I have held it down up to mid 20s.

I have a 2011 12m and a 2012 9m both of which i like. My friend just bought a 2014 12m and it is more like a 14m, bar pressure, turning and power, both of us don't like it.

Tried the 2015 recently, which is almost a 2014 with new prints: good hangtime, stable, lowend strong. Bad parts are slow turning and a tendency to drop towards the water if you don't watch out. High end sucks. A friend told me the reason is because SS makes the kites bigger than others. So a 12 actually has the size of a 14, which results in awesome lowend but bad high end ;)

Every kite model has a certain size that performs the best all round. What size would that be for the Rally
8m--9m or 10m ??

For the Rally this would be the 8 in my opinion.

So would you suggest a 8 or a 9 to give me the power like most 10m of other brand kites.
I'm guessing the 9.
I have read a review were the guy says the lease line sags and gets in the way when the 2014 Rally is depowered a lot, is this true?

never had such an experience! have 14 and 10 2013 Rallys - never had any problems with its high end
- 14 is fully controlled up to 13m/s with 141/43 Asylum board by 75kg rider - that`s my boardoff kit)
also still not discovered a high end of a 10, maybe 20m/s and a little more :D
never tuch the trimmer :jump:

Up to 13m/s :o
how do you rig it to get there? furthest knot from kite on the rear lines and closest on the front ones? or do you do anything special?
