Good low wind freestyle kite?

Postby mark van haze » Sat Aug 30, 2014 9:29 am

I have been using the Zephyr 17m for anything around 10 knots of wind to work on my freestyle tricks. Now I am looking for a new kite that can do the same:

-does not yank my arms from their sockets when unhooking
-creates pop
-relaunches in sub 10 knots easily (I do reverse launching on the Zephyr)

Any suggestions?

Had a chat with Stefan Spiessberger who riders as pro for North.
He said the North riders are getting Dyno 15 sqm now for light wind freestyle.

I am sure riders from other companies are also getting similar kites.

I tried the Dynos last year and they are too grunty - the "pulls-my-arms-out" problem. Maybe 2015 is different but I doubt that.

Since getting an old Blade will be difficult, any info on the latest Fat Lady?

Cab Contra 15m good relaunch, good boosting, very decent unhooking but you can be overpowered for this sooner (but then you would get another kite size)
