I just picked up two 2014 Naish Parks (8m and 11m). Only looking to pick up one bar and lines. Is there any reason I should grab the 20m lines or should I go with the 24m lines?

I weigh 75kg and mainly ride strapless SB.

My original plan was to pick up the 20m lines and run some 3/4m extensions if needed however the retailer sent me the 24m lines. If there's no real need for the 20s then I'll just save the hassle in sending it back and stick with the 24m lines.

For waveriding the 11 I would prefer the 20. That said, you'd be able to squeeze a bit more out of the low end on the 24...and even more on 28's. Actually jumping the 11 with 28s are a lot of fun. Looping shorter lines makes it a bit less powerful.

So, what I am saying, I tend to have one bar of 20, and one of 24.

Well you could get away with a set of 20's and two sets of 4's. My point is that the 11 works really well on 20s in waves. I ride longer lines when I race or just want to jump. The 24 is my most used length.

Of course it does depend a bit on how you ride your board and on the wave.

The 8 is more than responsive enough on 24, I like the 11 a bit more on 20s unless it is light and / or huge waves.

I also have the Naish Park 2014 in 11 and 8. I use one bar with 24 meter lines. For me this is ideal and I don't need the shorter lines.

I have one Universal (2010) bar with 20 meter lines which I used one time one the 11 and 8. I think the kites get realy nervous on the shorter lines.

I therefor think it is best to start with the 24 meter lines. If (for what reason) you don't like it you can always test the kites with 20 meter lines.

The Park 2014 have been initialy designed to be used with 24m lines (same with the new 2015 Pivot or Park).
The use of 20m lines is for a more aggressive wave riding…
So your choice depend more on your riding style (wave, freeride, freestyle,…)

Generally speaking, 24m lines with Park 2014 is perfectly correct

Im almost always on 28m because of the conditions in san diego but for jumping i go down to 24m when its windy enough. In good wind and surf i go 20m but its rare that i ever see these conditions though. The fusion bar that im ordering will be the 24m

Hey guys I was wondering if you could give me some input on a 2012 park. I just picked up a 10m, I haven't rode it yet but I was wondering if 20m lines would kill the low end? I'm more of a freestyle/airstyle rider working on some wakestyle, no waveriding mostly chop. Should I get 24s if my area doesn't have the high wind needed for 20s?

How about getting 4 m extensions. That way you have both options.

Yeah that's kinda what I meant by getting 24s I wouldn't buy new lines or a bar. I just want to know how the kite will do if I go out with 20s in low wind or high wind, like what are the advantages/disadvantages of shorter and longer lines, with this kite.
