I wear a patagonia - its a 3 year old one, and they have changed their materials - but the one I have still itches like f*ck if I don't wear the Thermo top under it.

Just finding this- I picked up a new Hyperflex Amp 3/2 and finally had a chance to use it (normally have a slightly older xcel 4/3 with no issue). I was attracted by the soft and stretchy material, with the fuzzy fast drying inner layer, the ankle drain holes... kite specific etc.

I too am finding myself itching crazy at my harness pressure points, but fine everywhere else. I've found a rash guard helps somewhat - maybe enough, but still itchy and another thing to deal with.

Thinking it was just me but maybe some part of their 'AQ3' lining is unfriendly... Hoping a few more washes sorts it, but now i'm skeptical of unknown proprietary stuff against my skin.

Sucks man, I too was attracted to the suit for those exact reasons. Keep us posted, be curious if washing helps at all and if your itch progresses into dry itchy red spots...

I am still quite amazed they took the suit back and provided full refund after 6 months...
No questions asked...

I just received a Patagonia, it doesn't itch for me. Havent go kiting ofcourse with it cause I just received it late in the evening its dark already here, and the weather is bad lately.

Patagonia is coming next year with new wetsuits which doesn't have any neoprene at all or hardly any neoprene anymore we will have to wait and see till more information arrives. I read that over at bussines.transworld: http://business.transworld.net/news/pat ... tsuit-line The new wetsuit line will debut globally in Australia in March of 2016 with six fullsuits. All 21 fullsuit styles will be available in July 2016 in North America, Europe, and Japan.
Read more at http://business.transworld.net/news/pat ... tsuit-line
Will have to wait if that will be the new trend or how expensive it will be.

I also searched with google for something about allergic reaction cause you sometimes hear that more often, I cant find anymore which search I did with google. But this gives a little more information search with google for example on patagonia wetsuit itch or only wetsuit itch or something similar. https://www.google.nl/search?&q=patagonia+wetsuit+itch

I think I did a search with Google on Neoprene Allergy: https://www.google.nl/search?&q=neoprene+allergy Filter out for example only the results from this year!

Looking forward to hear more about your experience once you have used the suit a bit.

I know this is an old post but this itching is killing me too. After riding for about an hour, I can't stand it any longer. I have tried so many things - latest is the Patagonia Yulex - guess what, just as bad. I'm considering something called belly Jelly for surfing - hope that gives me some relief. This itching is starting to make me not enjoy riding .

I'm happy to say that whatever was on the surface layer of the hyperflex wetsuit interior has mostly settled out, though I still occasionally get some mild irritation when my harness is loose and causing some rubbing. I picked up a 1mil neoprene top, and that really helped - it's a much better barrier than a rashguard. Suit is still holding up well otherwise.

My Ion Onyx Amp is starting to itch after 3 hrs of kiting now... didn't have that problem when it was brand new... I rinse it after every session.

OMG....just used the Jelly Belly stuff - this is a lifesaver! I finally had my first session longer than 1 hour. Turns out it's not the suit for me. If your having this problem give it a try.
