Well, I'm going to play devils advocate on this.

Its exactly the same as every other magazine I've ever seen. It only carters for what is perceived to be cool and nothing else.

It has wake style, strapless surfing, the occasional hot chick doing basic freestyle, token snow boarding and a bunch of kite demo's.

So boring as hell for me. No mega boosting shots, no hydrofoils, no racing, no landing kiting at all.... apparently that doesn't exist at all its straight from water to snow............. Suck.

But I did like the dude getting barrelled picture.

Well there's an untapped niche magazine market Plummett, to cater for 90 percent of kiters...no wait... :o

But is strapless kitessurfing and wakestyle really representative of the average kitesurfer? I don't think it is. Unless every beach I have been too ever does not show a representative demographic of kitesurfers around the world.

Its usually dudes on straped surfboards and TT's freeriding in straps not wake style.

I'm just saying...... More variety would allow for greater interest.

Hi plummet,
last Sunday I was in Muriwai and it was a sunny and light wind day with low tide at 5 something.
Around the surf club we had half of the people on sb and the other half in tt. Only one had a straps on his surf and 2 guys were in boots, the other 4-5 where in strapped tt. I didn't have my board with bindings so I was in straps, skim and waterskate borrowed from some friends. Usually I don't stare at what other people is doing but I saw jumping the girl and the boy in boots, I haven't seen the other in tt jumping.

On land there where just 2 buggies and no landboards. I needed to left at 5 so I didn't bring with me the landboard otherwise was a perfect day for it.

So I guess that the magazines are more or less right. Off course one can debate if this situation was pushed by brands and media or it comes from other reasons.

Yes they could improve their magazine with articles on Race Course, Foils and landbords but they only made 3 issues in this first year and it's already a great magazine, and last but not list It's free!!!!

Any other opinion?
