Drone filming with kitesurfing

Postby Ecoastprock » Sun Jan 04, 2015 6:07 am

Any tips on filming kiting with the drone?

got one for christmas and have made a few successful water flights. Heres a video from the dock, what do i need to watch out for when flying in high wind?

You will need a remotely controllable tilting camera, as the drone will not be level in high wind.

When we were in and around Capetown Michael took some drone clips in between some headcam and land shots, a good angle to see from above :D
A smaller but good day.

Here's the video from today. This was my first time flying the drone in windy conditions. Luckily it was light wind 14-18mph and foggy. Half of the video is from the drone, other half is the GoPro on the strutt.

Didn't use a controlled gimbal, I just angle my GoPro slightly downward and fly as close as i can.
